Grand jury indicts 3 for $1 million in Medicaid fraud at southern Minnesota clinic

They’re accused of inflating the transportation and translation services they provided

Two drivers and an interpreter serving serve low-income patients seeking mental health services allegedly conspired with the owner of a Northfield clinic to defraud the federal-state Medical Assistance program out of $1 million through false claims over more than three years, according to a federal grand jury indictment unsealed this week.

West Lawn chiroprator facing federal health care fraud charges

A chiropractor with a clinic in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been charged with submitting at least $10 million in bogus claims to Medicare and private insurers.

Henry Posada, 54, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to 18 counts of health care fraud before U.S. District Judge Edmond Chang, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

Haddonfield woman admits role in scam

NEWARK – A Haddonfield woman on Tuesday admitted her role in a fraud that caused losses of almost $1 million, authorities said.
Julie Andresen, 39, took payments of about $161,000 as part of a year-long scheme that exploited the prescription drug benefits plan at her former employer, an unnamed pharmaceutical firm, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey.
