STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Staten Island man accused of running a prescription ring with a South Beach woman pleaded guilty earlier this month, authorities said.

Doraymus Robinson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute oxycodone, and will be sentenced June 28 in Brooklyn federal court, said his lawyer, Paul Petrus.

A chiropractor with a clinic in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side has been charged with submitting at least $10 million in bogus claims to Medicare and private insurers.

Henry Posada, 54, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to 18 counts of health care fraud before U.S. District Judge Edmond Chang, according to the U.S. Attorney's office.

They're accused of inflating the transportation and translation services they provided

Two drivers and an interpreter serving serve low-income patients seeking mental health services allegedly conspired with the owner of a Northfield clinic to defraud the federal-state Medical Assistance program out of $1 million through false claims over more than three years, according to a federal grand jury indictment unsealed this week.

 

HARTFORD >> Before formal charges were brought against Dr. Ljudmil Kljusev, an undercover federal agent entered the psychiatrist's Milford practice and told him, "I heard you were cool."

The agent, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Karwan, walked out of Kljusev's offices with prescriptions for drugs the agent displayed no medical need for during the visit.
