“Health benefits begin to accrue relatively quickly with high-quality relationships and supportive contexts,” says Ashley Barr, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology, College of Arts and Sciences.

Nurse practitioners provide quality health care with positive outcomes

Senate Bill 323 would allow the almost 20,000 nurse practitioners practicing across California to help in solving this problem by granting nurse practitioners full practice authority.

Basically, this would allow California nurse practitioners to do what we do every day – providing patients with quality care.

Nurse practitioners are advanced practice registered nurses. We hold a master’s or doctorate degree, and many nurse practitioners also pursue specialty training in areas like pediatrics or women’s health.
